Traditional Catholic Communities


There are various lay-led and priestly religious communities dedicated to the preservation and spread of the Latin Mass across the United States and the world, each with its own unique origins, purpose, and goals.

    Society of St. Pius X (SSPX)

    Founded by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre in 1970, the Society of Saint Pius X is a priestly fraternity dedicated to preserving the Traditional Latin Mass, sacraments, and Catholic doctrine as taught before Vatican II, empowering members to live and spread the fullness of the faith through seminary formation, parishes, and missionary apostolates.

    Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP)

    Founded by Fr. Josef Bisig in 1988 under Pope St. John Paul II, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter is a society of apostolic life dedicated to the Traditional Latin Mass and sacraments, empowering priests and faithful to foster reverence, orthodoxy, and liturgical beauty through parishes, seminaries, and spiritual formation.

    Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest (ICKSP)

    The Thomistic Institute, sponsored by the Dominican Order, promotes the intellectual legacy of St. Thomas Aquinas through rigorous academic programs, lectures, and discussions on philosophy, theology, and ethics.

    Una Voce America

    Founded in 1967 as the U.S. chapter of the International Federation Una Voce (est. 1964), Una Voce America is a lay apostolate dedicated to preserving and promoting the Traditional Latin Mass and Gregorian chant, empowering Catholics to defend the Church’s liturgical heritage through advocacy, education, and grassroots support.
