Our Vision
Who We Are
The College Station Latin Mass Society was born in 2025 from a shared desire among faithful students: to ensure that the beauty and reverence of the Traditional Latin Mass have a permanent home in College Station.
What started as a student initiative has grown into a movement. We are not just seeking a weekly service; we are seeking to build a culture. We believe that the spiritual life of a community flourishes best when rooted in the ancient liturgy.
The Vision: More Than Just A Mass
Our goal extends far beyond organizing occasional Latin Masses.
We are working to establish a full traditional parish life in the College Station area.
We envision a community where:
The Traditional Latin Mass is offered daily.
Vespers, processions, and devotions mark the rhythm of the year.
Families have access to traditional sacramental preparation.
A vibrant community supports students, families, and locals alike.
Our Road Map
We are building this brick by brick. Your support moves us through these critical phases:
Phase 1: Foundations (Current)
Legal & Formation: Covering the essential costs of establishing our 501(c)(3) non-profit status and organizational infrastructure.
Campus Presence: "Planting the flag" on campus through MSC bannering, recruitment, and high-visibility student life activities.
Digital Outreach: Maintaining our website and communication channels to grow our flock.
A Permanent Mass: Securing a consistent location and establishing a regular schedule for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
Priest Support: Funding stipends, travel, and vestments for faithful priests to come and serve our community.
Building the Culture: Launching the social traditions that bind a parish together—hosting community tailgates, Lenten crawfish boils, and initial community retreats.
Phase 2: Stability
Phase 3: Permanence & Parish Life
The Brick and Mortar: Ultimately, we aim to acquire property and build a church dedicated to the Traditional Rite.
Full Sacramental Life: Establishing confirmation classes, regular confession times, and solemn vespers.
Deepening the Faith: Founding permanent men’s and women’s groups, a dedicated choir, and larger-scale spiritual retreats for the region.
Why We Need Your Support
We are 100% student-founded and volunteer-run. We have no diocesan endowment and no paid staff. We rely entirely on the generosity of faithful Catholics who share this vision.
Every dollar you give goes directly toward the hard costs of building this community. Whether it is paying for a visiting priest’s gas or filing legal paperwork, your donation is the fuel that keeps this mission alive.
Be a Founder of Tradition. Help us plant the seeds of a parish that will feed souls for decades to come.
