Who Are We?

We are a community of lay students and adult residents in Brazos County united by a shared love for the Traditional Latin Mass and the rich heritage of Catholic worship it represents.

The College Station Latin Mass Society is organized and led by members of TAMU Juventutem, an on-campus student organization.

  • "Coming from a secular background, I lacked a firm moral and spiritual foundation. Catholic tradition gave me that foundation. Now, it guides how I understand marriage, family, and faith. This example has led to both of my siblings converting to the faith and many graces in my own life."

    - Max, Aggie Juventutem Member

  • “The Traditional Latin Mass brought me back to the Catholic faith through its reverence and clarity. Being able to trust that what is preached is fully in line with what the Church has taught for 2,000 years has given me real peace and confidence in my faith. My family and I drive three hours round trip every week to attend, and it is worth every minute and every mile.”

    - Sophie, Latin Mass Society Member

  • "I was raised Catholic but discovered tradition while in college. Only through the lens of a Catholic sacramental worldview have I been able to make sense of history, politics, finance, and my own experiences in life. Having been unable to find peace in a world that denies the truth, I find clarity and comfort in the religion that Christ founded, the height of which is the Latin Mass."

    - Joe, Aggie Juventutem Member

  • "What earlier generations held as sacred, remains sacred and great for us too, and it cannot be all of a sudden entirely forbidden or even considered harmful."

Pope Benedict XVI, Letter to Bishops accompanying Summorum Pontificum (2007)

  • "Finding the traditional Roman Rite Mass and learning more about it has deepened my faith [and] my love of God… I cannot imagine not being able to attend the Latin Mass. It is irreplaceable."

A Catholic Convert, drawn to the reverence and depth of the TLM

  • “The Latin Mass is the Mass of all time, the Mass of the saints, the Mass of the Church’s tradition. To abandon it is to abandon the Church’s soul.”

-Archbishop Marcel Levebvre, Society of St. Pius X

  • "The TLM has given my family roots in a world that constantly pushes change for its own sake. The Mass's unchanging prayers and ancient form remind us that truth is recieved, not reinvented."

    - Jack, College Station Latin Mass Society

  • "If it had not been for the Tridentine Mass... I would have left the Catholic Church very quickly after I entered it. If that would have happened, today I’d be dead..."

    - Joseph, Latin Mass Attendee

  • “The Traditional Latin Mass is not a relic. It is the heart of the Church’s prayer, the source of her strength, and the cradle of her saints.”

    -Cardinal Robert Sarah, Roman Curia

  • Only through assisting devoutly at the Mass that was celebrated by the Apostles, Church fathers, the Saints and Martyrs, have I understood that I render the greatest homage to the Sacred Humanity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Each Mass I kneel amidst the Holy Angels and Saints who are indeed present at the Holy Sacrifice, and I extend the souls in Purgatory the greatest possible relief.

    - Nicole, Latin Mass Attendee

  • “Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle.”

    - St. Paul; 2 Thessalonians 2:15
